League of Women Voters of Greater Birmingham receives the 2005 Phyllis Rea Membership Award given to the Alabama local League with the highest percentage membership growth in the past two years. The LWVAL Board established this award in 1993 to honor Phyllis Rea's constant and inspirational commitment to the League. Receiving the award are (L) LWVGB President Sarah McDonald and (R) LWVGB Membership Chair Nancy Ekberg.
