LWVAL Launches Facebook Social Networking Page

"Giving people the power to share and make the world more open and connected." That's Facebook's motto and that's really what it does. You can read about Facebook in Wikipedia. In describing Facebook, the Wikipedia article reports, "A January 2009 Compete.com study has ranked Facebook as the most used social network by worldwide monthly active users, followed by MySpace." We think the League of Women Voters of Alabama should be a part of that. The LWVAL Facebook group page has been launched.

If you're not already a member of Facebook, please join. It's free. Then you will be able to become a "fan" of the LWVAL Facebook group - read comments, leave comments, get the latest news, etc.. Great way to keep up with friends and family, too, especially the younger ones.

To join Facebook
Go to www.facebook.com to sign up for Facebook. It's free. And, it's a great way to keep up with friends and family, especially the younger ones. You will get your own Facebook page. The great thing about Facebook is that, unless you choose to make your page public, only your "friends" (other Facebook members whom you have approved) can see the information that you choose to share on your Facebook page. Once a Facebook member, you will be able to become a "fan" of the LWVAL Facebook group - read comments, leave comments, get the latest news, etc..
