Healthcare Committee Meets

On September 21 the LWVGB Healthcare Committee met for lunch to discuss creating a position statement on the state of healthcare in Jefferson County for the uninsured and underinsured. Afterward, several members attended a Town Hall Meeting for the Governor’s Task Force to Strengthen Alabama Families. The forum provided the Governor feedback on the healthcare system as it affects families. LWVGB members present at lunch were Rebecca Stafford, Jessie Tehranchi, Virginia Randolph, Collette Scott, Nancy Ekberg, Beverly Nelson and Heather Lazio.
