Moss Rock Adventure

May 19th the LWVGB went for a stroll to Moss Rock in
Hoover. As you get off the busy street on a Saturday morning and
walk a few feet to the trailhead, you enter the cooler realm of Moss
Rock. Trees were the major vegetation as we were walking the
uplands forest, but as we descended into the small canyons that were
wet, we saw wonderful wildflowers, ferns, large boulders and
waterfalls. It was a delightful respite, and Leonette Slay
treated us to refreshments afterwards. All in all a perfect walk
in the woods!
